The “Seminario Internacional Bene Lava. Las termas en las villae de Hispania” will take place from September 25 to 27 in the Archaeological Musem of Yecla, in southeastern Spain. It is organised by Virginia García-Entero, from the Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia and a member of the advisory board of the BATH network, as well as José Miguel Noguera Celdrán (Universidad de Murcia) and Liborio Ruiz Molina (Museo Arqueológico Municipal Cayetano de Mergelina).
Over two days, contributions will consider a series of baths in villae of Spain and Portugal (with a few Italian ones) as well as thematic issues around questions such as the ownership of villae with baths, their water management and their decorative programs. On the third day, participants will have the option to visit nearby sites, such as the archaeological museum of Yecla and the Roman villa of Los Torrejones.
